The bundled rules intentionally cover only a small reviewed set.
- UCUM is used as the design reference for machine-readable units; D007 does not claim to be a complete UCUM engine.
- Glucose conversion uses mmol/L × 18.018 = mg/dL (inverse for mg/dL -> mmol/L).
- Serum creatinine conversion uses µmol/L / 88.4 = mg/dL (inverse for mg/dL -> µmol/L).
- Temperature conversion follows the standard Fahrenheit/Kelvin arithmetic.
Before adding a new analyte-specific conversion, require a documented authoritative formula and regression tests. Never derive a factor from model memory during a patient-data run.
