duplicate: two records represent the same event and add no independent clinical meaning.corroborating: independent sources describe the same event consistently. They may be represented as one canonical fact with multiple provenance entries.complementary: records concern the same clinical topic but add different non-conflicting details. Keep separate unless a future reviewed rule explicitly supports composition.conflicting: records cannot both describe the same state/value at the same clinical identity without explanation. Keep both and require review.superseding: a later record explicitly replaces/corrects an earlier record. Keep lineage to both; do not erase the superseded record.state_transition: different time points/states of the same clinical object. Keep both facts and connect them.
Only duplicate and high-confidence corroborating relations may be merged automatically.
